Pizza.com which is currently being auctioned at SEDO hit its reserve price and it's currently at $2,505,000 and 63 bids so far. Unbelievable huh? According to Domaining()com this is potentially "one of biggest domain name sales ever".

Although I must admit, I don't know why some people are surprised at its current price. Huge pizza companies are incredibly successful and we see more and more pizza companies opening every year. $2.5 for pizza.com is no surprise to me.

not as much as i would expect really. some of the bigger pizza places could make a ton off the domain. think they would be paying more even.

That was a great price.
No matter if we are in a ecession or not...
We always seem to come up with the $$$ to order a pizza.
And we all use the internet, so as a marketing strategy,
that wasn't a ton of money!

I regret not registering any good domains back in the 90's. They were a bit expansive though.
