Your favourite .TLD

Postby citricsquid on Fri Apr 04, 2008 6:47 pm

For selling: .com's
For Personal use: .net's

For me, and i guess everybody else, the best extension for selling on is a .com, their value is generally at least 5x more than any other extension, and sometimes upwards of 10x.

For personal use or just general regging, I absolutely love .net's. The extension to me is much more appealing and "prettier" than .com's. I'm not sure why, but it seems like it goes with the idea of the internet.

So anyway, what's your favourite extension for Personal use and selling?

For Personal use: .com's

Since I have gotten into domaining I have always favored .com's. I always feel that if I were to develop a .net that if it really got somewhere I would end up having to buy the .com of whoever owned it.

I agree that if i were to develop upon a domain, I'd have to go for the .com after, i still would rather develop on a .net. I've got this problem with a site I'm planning atm. I own the .net but somebody has the .com and wants around $450 for it.

Definitely the .com! :) It's also the smartest TLD to own. I also like .org and .cc, but .cc's renewal fees are just too high.

I like both .com and .info TLDs. as a developer .com TLD is good for brandable web sites and .info is good for sites which target specific keywords.

Of course .com is king!
But I am really becoming more and more attracted to .tv
It seems to be the way of the future, IMHO.
I think it is a bit more limited than .net
but I still like it....lets just say almost as a tie right now for #2 spot
With the .net
I hope Im right cuz thats where my wallet has headed lately!
LOL
