Your Preferred Domain Parking service?

Postby ApeXX on Sat Apr 05, 2008 8:40 am

What is your preferred domain parking service. I used to use Sedo on some of my parked traffic websites but would only make a little cash. I haven't really parked domains for profit since, so maybe I should go back and try some other services.

I've never tried out parking myself, am i correct in thinking that the only way to make money with it is if i have generic terms, such as "houses.com", whereas stuff like "citricsquid.net" would be useless to park?

It depends on traffic. If the domain was previously used for a popular website, you could make some relatively quick bucks off of it.

I don't regularly park my domains but if I do I use Sedo.

I'll have to look into it, it seems like i might be able to make a couple of $ from it :) I have domains that get steady traffic etc.

The only thing i dislike about parking is it makes it seem as though the domain is just there for making money, i prefer to either develop or keep mine blank. Oh well, money is money :D

Hey
I use DomainParking.co.uk and NameDrive.com for my parking. I prefer DomainParking for .co.uk domains and NameDrive.com for .com and .net as I find they pay out better. The domains need to be quite generic to make decent revenue but if you can buy up an old domain with backlinks they tend to generate the most ca$h in your pocket.

I use both Sedo and NameDrive. It depends on the domain keywords since both pay differently for each keyword. Now I try to develop my domains rather than parking them.
