I apologize to anyone on a reseller business but I've had ridiculously horrible experiences with reseller hosting each and every single time I tried one. The first one I tried not only had slow servers but it had long periods of downtime. So I moved to another one who lost all my data after one week. I then decided to try 3 others all at the same time (different sites on the different reseller accounts; one only lasted a week, another one had bad uptime (and kept moving to another server), and the third one decided to "close shop" without warning (so I lost all my files).

Resellers offer a competitive price, but is it really worth paying? I wasted so much time shifting from one host to another. I lost days worth of hard work. They didn't offer a refund and one host that said he'd give me a refund changed his mind and decided to offer me a free month of crappy hosting.

I feel resellers are simply used as a scapegoat for hosting providers who can't find their own customers.

I was operating on a reseller account for a while and had customers. I can tell you it's not easy for a person on reseller hosting. My provider promised 100% uptime etc. and i was happy and ready to start trading. But my host decided to take his servers offline, lost me a lot of customers + their files.
