Target Chinese End Users

Postby Drizzle on Sat Apr 05, 2008 4:48 am

QVXZ are commonly known as 'bad letters' when it comes to domaining. But you might be able to get more than you bargained for especially if you're targeting Chinese end users.

First and foremost, 'V' does not exist in the Chinese phonetic system. So I highly doubt any Chinese company would settle for a domain with a 'V'. But don't worry, Q, X, and Z are often used. Here are a few examples of words related to the letters:

Q - 'money', 'consumer electronics'
X - 'West', 'games'
Z - 'China', Downloads (or Uploads)
